Registration into  these programs is open now  as full attendance at the premises of Cambridge international College in Khartoum under the specific entry requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education  .The Sudanese secondary certificate or its equivalent  will be the  minimum entry requirements.

Media of study for all programs is English and all programs are 4 years .

 All bachelor's degrees are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Sudan.

Civil Engineering

 

                              

BSC in Civil engineering

 

1. Introduction:
Civil engineering is the field of engineering that deals with a wide range of sub-specializations such as structural engineering, highway and transportation engineering, hydraulic and hydraulic structures, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, water supply and waste water systems, hydrology, construction technology and construction management and runoff estimates. In that respect, in accordance to international trends, civil engineering students are expected to have knowledge of all the above fields during their study course.
Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering lays a heavy emphasis on practical application of knowledge, while at the same time recognizes the importance of development of correct attitudes alongside theoretical and intellectual development of the graduate engineer

This curriculum is designed to equip graduates to face the challenge of modern engineering practice. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of the various civil engineering subspecialties will be covered through the course of study enabling the graduates to plan, analyze, design and execute civil engineering projects. Modern approaches, technologies and practical applications in the stated areas are emphasized. Thus technical instruction with modern instrumentation, hardware, and software is reinforced with foundation courses emphasizing written and oral communication, and physical sciences. All of the instruction is presented with problem solving in mind and with a strong emphasis on applications and critical thinking.
2. Career Opportunities:
Graduates can seek employment in a wide range of civil engineering specialties. These include bridge and highway design, construction management, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic systems design, land development, pollution control, and structural design. Employment opportunities will exist with private consulting firms, design/construction businesses and government agencies, including Ministries of Planning, Infrastructures, Irrigation, Dams and Electricity, Transportation, Highway and Bridges, Armed Forces, and Interior. Local municipality planning and engineering agencies will also offer opportunities for employment. Graduates seeking self-employment opportunities will be aided by education leading to licensure as a professional engineer.
3. Program Goals and Outcomes:
* The main goals of this Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Program are:
* To prepare graduate engineers who can accomplish the design and construction of buildings and infrastructure facilities, using professional considerations.
* To achieve a practical orientation of the graduate engineers.
* To prepare the graduate engineers with sound knowledge in the fundamentals so as to enable them to participate in applied theoretical research as well as consultancy services.
* To develop the necessary skills among graduate engineers as a basis for employment and further studies.
* To develop appropriate attitudes, initiative and creative thinking oriented to the world of work.

4. Program expected Outcomes:
On completion of the course, graduates of this program should be able to:

5. Program Structure:
The program involves 10 semesters to be taught in 5 calendar years; length of each semester is 15 weeks. The total number of credit hours in the program is (190 for Structures; 189 for Construction; 187 for Highway and transportation) credit hours distributed between subject groups as summarized in the following table, for more details of contact and credit hours for each subject please refer to the information booklet at the college.

Electrical Engineering

 

BSC in Electrical Engineering

 

1. Introduction
Electrical engineering is a very wide field of engineering that deal with communication, control, electronic, radio etc…
Bachelor of Science program in electrical engineering based on practical application of knowledge, and at the same time recognize the importance of development of correct attitudes with theoretical and intellectual development of graduate engineer.
This curriculum is designed to provide graduates to face the challenges of modern engineering practice. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of the various electrical engineering subspecialty will be covered the course of study enabling the graduate to plan, design, analyze and testing any electrical projects.
2. Career opportunities:
Graduates can seek employment in a wide average of electrical engineering specialties. Thus include power system, control, and communication; employment opportunities will exist with private consulting firms, government department, petroleum companies, and communication companies.
3. Program Goals and outcomes:
The main goals of bachelor science in electrical engineering program are:
• To prepare graduate engineers who can design and implement power station and communication system.
• To achieve a practical orientation of the graduate engineers
• To prepare graduates to participate in research as well as consultancy
• To develop appropriate attitudes initiative are creative thinking to the world of work
4. Program expected outcomes:
The graduates of this program should able to:
• Select and apply knowledge, techniques, skill, and modern tools define for electrical engineering activities
• Select and apply knowledge of mathematics and science, and technology to electrical engineering problem that require the application of principle and applied procedure.
• Understand how to implement and testing any project
• Design an electrical power or communication system
• Fault diagnosis and modification of subsystem
5. Program Structure:
It consists of five calendar years and ten semesters. Each semester consists of 15 weeks. The total credit hours are in range of (198 for power and control; to 194 for Communication).
Training sessions:
The Training session is to be conducted after the completion of the third year covering a period of 3 weeks.
The ratio of Practical to Theoretical:
Contact hours for the whole program are maintained approximately for practical to theory respectively 35% for practical and 65% for theory, which is within the requirement of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and Sudan engineering council (SEC).

5- Prepare students for post graduate studies.
6- Enhance national, regional and international co-operation between research and institutions of higher education.

The accounting department offers the BSc Honor degree in Accounting, which consists of eight semesters / 15 weeks per semester.
* The BSc Honor Degree Will be awarded upon the successful completion of the all semesters.
2. Career Opportunities:
Graduate can seek employment in a wide range of accounting specialties such as:
General Auditor, Entrepreneur, Public Accountant, Budgetary Control Analyst …etc.

On completion of the courses, graduates of the program should be able to:

2- Select and apply knowledge of cost, managerial, bark, insurance, Petroleum Company and international accounting to accounting work that require the application of principles and applied procedures or methodologies.

The program involves eight semesters to be taught in four years, length of each semester is fifteen weeks. The total credit hours in the program are one hundred and seventy six (176) credit hours. The practical session-three months assigned during summer vacation at the end of semester six- third years.

 B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) in Information Technology

 

 Background:
Information Technology (IT) is the use of computers and software to manage information. The information technology department of a large company would be responsible for storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving information as necessary.
In order to perform the complex functions required of information technology departments today, the modern Information Technology Department would use computers, servers, database management systems, and cryptography.
Program Mission:
Our program in Cambridge International College established in 2013 to help businesses run efficiently and to build the needed foundational skills to enter the IT industry. It is dedication to community development through sound policies, provision of high quality educational & service resources.
Educational Objectives:
The educational objectives of the Information Technology program will result in graduates that will:
• Obtain positions as information technology professionals in various industries and government agencies that are involved in the creation, development, maintenance and use of computers, computer networks and computer information systems.

Conditions for the Admission:
Candidates for admission to the B.Sc. degree course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Sudan or other any equivalent examination.
Duration of the Program:
The program shall extend over a period of 8 consecutive semesters spread over 4 academic years – two semesters constituting one academic year. The duration of each semester shall normally be 15 weeks excluding examinations.
Award of the Degree:
No candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, unless he/she has undergone the course for a period of 8 semesters (4 academic years) in the college and has passed the prescribed examinations in all the semesters.
The Study System:
This B.Sc. degree consists of One hundred forty six (146) credits; distributed in eight semesters over a period of four years.

1. Introduction

Most of educationalists have recently agreed that English language has become a key for the educational progress of almost all the fields of knowledge and science. So the number of students who learn English is increasing everywhere around the globe and there is no country where English language is not taught. However, this increasing need for English language at the national and international levels challenges language educationalists especially the curriculum and syllabus designers of foreign and second languages. Based on this and other reasons, Cambridge International College (Sudan) offers a programmae of 4- year study distributed into eight semesters. The programme aims to qualify students to obtain a degree of BA in English language, and to meet the national and international needs. Thus, the outcome will be competent graduates who are able to use English language for the purposes of communication with English speakers in general and to involve in activities and jobs where English language is required in particular.

The syllabus of this programmae is carefully designed to train students to develop their language proficiency by providing adequate and varied learning opportunities. This syllabus also intends to expose the students to authentic, integrated, graded and developed materials, which are presented in the courses, activities and exercises. Additionally, to develop their language learning strategies by exposing them to the required learning skills, activities and knowledge.

2. Programme Objectives

The aim of the programme of the BA in English language at Cambridge International College (Sudan) is to enable the students to demonstrate a high level of language proficiency both oral and written. Duties such as the following could be performed:
• Completing business activity statement and other office taxes.
• Operational reporting.
• Producing non-complex management reports including compiling budget information.
• Compiling data for job costing reports.
• Supervising the operation of computer-based financial systems.
• Classifying, recording and reporting accounting information.
